Ek is laataand in Parys waar ek op my balkon kyk na die Eiffel toring wat elke uur, op die uur, in al sy glorie flikker terwyl sy lig al soekend oor Parys sirkel. Ek verstaan nou waarom die Wenkruis bo die kop van die Messias op die Basilique du Sacre Coeur, pryk.

Mre gaan ek terug na die Berg van Martelare. Die Basilique du Sacre Coeur het nog nie sy volle verhaal vertel nie. Daarvan is ek oortuig.

Ek staan aan die voet van die Montmartre (Berg van Martelare). Die Mont Martre is die hoogste heuwel in Parys. Bo-op die heuwel is die manjifieke Basilique du Sacre Coeur, opgedra aan die heilige hart van Christus. Die Basilique du Sacre Coeur was die Franse se antwoord op hul gelofte aan God om Parys te spaar, gedurende 1817.

Denis, die eerste apostel van die omgewing was hier onthoof op 9 Oktober, 258 nC. Denis is die eerste christelike martelaar van Frankryk.

Ek stap die helling van trappe uit na die volgende vlak.

Ek staan en kyk na die beeld van Jeanne dArc op haar perd, met die veelbesproke swaard in haar hand. Op haar krygsperd se bors pryk die Lelie (fleur de lis). Regs van Jeanne is n ewe groot beeld van Louis IV, algemeen bekend as die Sonkoning. Op sy skild is n veld van lelies.

Johanne, soos sy haar naam geskryf het, was n boeredogter wat skape en beeste op die familieplaas opgepas het. Op die ouderdom van 13 het die engel Michel, met haar begin praat.

The degree of human suffering seen in early fifteenth century France is comparable to that recorded in Biblical history. In completing her heroic mission, it is appropriate that Christian and medieval heraldic symbols dominate Jeanne d’Arc’s mystic legacy. These traditions bonded the people of France to their origins physically, emotionally and spiritually.

When Saint Remy, another great orator, crowned Clovis after baptizing him as a Christian at Rheims Cathedral, three important metaphysical symbols emerged from this first coronation rite that would permanently link the French monarchy with the Catholic Church. First, Rheims would become the one and only sanctuary accepted by the people of France as that country’s legitimate coronation site.

Second, a holy vial known as the Ampulla was (and is) kept in the Abbey of Rheims. It contains the sacre, (consecrated oil), that had sanctified every French coronation. First used to anoint Clovis, it had been delivered to Saint Remy, in the beak of a dove.

The legend of the third symbol, the golden lilies of France or fleurs de lys, comes from Clovis. He had been a pagan until he reached desperation during a crisis. In the heat of battle, he prayed to the God of his Christian wife, Clotilda and won the fight, with his strength having been redoubled. Each of the crescents on his shield became mysteriously replaced by a golden lily (formed by three bound petals), representing the Trinity.

There has been a mysterious absence of attention given to an important detail that seems obviously relevant, as related to Jeanne dArcs personal spiritual connection to the symbol of the fleur.

Op die ouderdom van 17, terwyl die helfte van Frankryk onder Engelse bewind en beleg is, ry hierdie jong Franse boeremeisie te perd na Karel, die troonopvolger van Frankryk. Karel en sy hof het geweet dat die meisiekind op pad is en besluit om haar te toets. Hy trek toe aan soos een van sy howelinge. Johanne stap egter reguit na Karel en s: In die naam van God, jy is die koning.

Daarna het verdere toetse gekom. Johanne is deur Karel se skoonmoeder en ander ouer vroue van die hof, fisies ondersoek om vas te stel of sy n maagd was. Sy was.

Daarna het die kerk haar ondervrae om vas te stel of haar boodskap van God kom, of van Satan. Sy het daardie toets ook geslaag.

Johanne het versoek dat Karel die bevel oor die leer aan haar oordra. Mens kan net dink hoe die generaals daarop moes reageer. Om hul gesag aan n sewentien jaar oue, ongeletterde boeremeisie oor te dra, was ongehoord. Karel het egter wel die gesag van die ler aan Johanne oorgedra.

Johanne word daarna toegerus met lyfpantser en n swaard word aan haar gegee. Sy wys egter die swaard van die hand, want sy weet dat sy haar simbole reg moet kies. Johanne se simole het van God gekom. (Boer, jy moet jou oor nou fyn instel, want ons het ook simbole wat van God kom.)

In the month of April, La Pucelle prepared herself for war. She was guided to call for a specific sword that her voices said was buried behind an altar in the Church of Saint Catherine, in the city of Fierbois. She was told that it would be recognizable by its bearing five crosses. It was brought to her from that place having appeared miraculously;

She would use it in leading her troops, blade pointed downward with the hilt elevated, to form a cross. During the assault, the Sword of Saint Catherine was not just a symbol. It received and struck blows. But in her testimony, Jeanne dArc testified that she had never taken a life with it.

Her spiritual guides directed the design of her white battle standard. Over the field of golden fleur de lys, were sewn many religious images, symbols and names held sacred.

Johanne was twee keer in veldslae verwond. Nadat Karel as koning van Frankryk gekroon is, verhef hy die boeremeisie se status tot adelike, deur middel van die sertifikaat hieronder. Op Johanne se amptelike wapen pryk nou, die vyf kruise swaard, twee lelies en 'n kroon (ook met lelies).

In hierdie stadium het Jehanne versoek om terug te gaan na haar huis, omdat haar taak afgehandel was. Sy is egter gedwing om aan verdere veldslagte deel te neem.

Twintig jaar Johanne vermoor is, teken haar bejaarde moeder appel aan. Haar appel slaag en Johanne word van alle aanklagte waaraan sy voorheen skuldig bevind is, kwytgeskeld.

Johanne is later deur Bennedictus XV tot heilige verklaar. Die sirkel is voltooi, want daar is weer 'n Benedictus op die pouslike troon.

Johanne is nie die enigste gelowige wat vir haar geloof vermoor is nie.


In March 1562 approximately 1,200 Huguenots were slaughtered in Vassy. And in August 1572, a further 8,000 Huguenots were massacred in the infamous attack at St Bartholomew's.

Van nou af is die Wenkruis en die Lelie onlosmaaklik ingebind as geestelike simbole van die volk wat gebore sou word, die Boer.

One legend identifies it as the lily given at his baptism to Clovis, king of the Franks (466511), by the Virgin Mary.

The lily was said to have sprung from the tears shed by Eve as she left Eden. From antiquity it has been the symbol of purity and was readily adopted.

As ons daarop let hoe belangrik die swaard in Johanne von Arc se stryd was, moet ons miskien ook ons eie swaard gaan soek. Hoe en waar, sal elkeen vir homself bepaal.

Daar was egter 'n "swaard" in Boere geledere. Daardie "swaard" was deur die Messias waardig genoeg geag vir sy boodskap.

Voor die Ou Testament van die jaloerse God in Europa bekend was, is die rolle tussen man en vrou min of meer as gelykes op verskillende terreine identifiseer.

Die man se rol was een van jagter en verdediger van die gesin en gemeenskap en hierdie rol het hom vir aansienlike tye afwesig gelaat.

Die vrou se rol was een van opvoeder, geneser en voedsel bereiding. In wese is die gemeenskapslewe deur die vroue onderneem en die hoof van die gemeenskap het bekend gestaan as die Wyse Vrou.

Die Wyse Vrou en haar helpers was ook gemoeid met geneeskunde en die pligte van die vroedvrou. Om hierdie rede het hulle 'n grondige kennis van kruie, ander plante en die natuur gehad. Omdat hulle die voortplantingsiklus van die mens verstaan het as 'n natuurlike verskynsel, het hulle geen fase daarvan soos deur die priesters van die jaloerse God, as onrein en onmenswaardig beskou nie.

Die vroedvroue het verstaan dat die 28 dae menstruele siklus van die vrou in verband staan tot die ooreenstemmende siklus van die maan. Daarom het hulle geglo dat die voortplanting van die mens gereguleer word deur die rotasie van die maan om die aarde.

Daar bestaan argumente dat, voor die bestaan van kunsmatige lig, vroue sou ovuleer met volmaan en menstrueer met nuwemaan.

Ons Germaanse voorouers op die Heide van Europa het hul bestaan ingevolge die maankalender reguleer. Beide die maankalender en die sonkalender bestaan uit 365 dae. Omdat die maan elke 28 dae om die aarde roteer, beteken dit dat die maankalender uit 13 maande bestaan. (365 / 28).

Die 13de volmaan in ons kalender staan in Engels bekend as 'n "blue moon". Omdat die sinkronisasie tussen die maan- en sonkalender nie perfek is nie, vind ons dat nie alle jare 13 volmane bevat nie. Omdat 2009 14 volmane (2 blue moons) bevat het, is 2010 sonder 'n 13de volmaan. 2011, 2014 en 2017 sal ook nie die 13de "blue moon" bevat nie.

Die simbool van die vrou in die antieke tye was die maan. Die rede daarvoor is ooglopend.

Symbolic Meaning of Number Thirteen

From a numerological perspective, we first recognize the presence of the 3. Symbolic meaning of number three is vast and powerful. At its simples, the symbolic meaning of the number three deals with:

The meaning of Three is about the union of two parts to create a unique whole. That point of union forms the fruit of knowledge -it is our access point to unlimited potential.

The meaning of Three deals with finding the right mix between the two founding pillars of our life constsruct. In the cards we see the meaning of three as a sort of culmination.
We can look to the triangle for assistance here. If we see the process of growth as a triangle, we move up lateral sides to reach the tip, essentially ascending to the top by incorporating our duality. By working together, we find unity. Conversely, we may descend the philosophical triangle in order to reach the source. This is still done by unifying our strongest attributes.
The meaning of Three reminds us we are all connected and it is only through this connection that progress can be made. To further our understanding of Three, we may meditate upon these
questions - please keep in mind - these are highly conceptual questions. I'm asking you to think in terms of intangibles rather than solid experience:

Are the sum of my parts working together towards unified glory?
How can I find strength through the sacred trinity?
If I had to assign philosophical meanings to each side of a triangle, what would they be? Why?
How can I utilize this philosophical triangle to propel me into an existence on a higher level?
What does it feel like to be in between
What is my concept of time? Friend or foe? How does this affect my life?
What kind of structure do I have in place that secures my spiritual evolution?

The meaning of One is about the initial point of contact. The Zohar indicates: "When the Unknown of Unknowns chose to be revealed, it came as one point of light."
This statement is profound. It is in this statement that we derive the prime meaning of number One. If we come from the understanding that prior to One there is void - we begin to see the gravity represented by One.
Effectually, One changes the landscape. It alters the entire view of what was before.
When we encounter One's in our lives or in the cards we are asked to recognize that which sets the fire to burn. In other words, we must observe the point of ignition in our lives. This analogy is best illustrated with a few questions you may ask yourself when confronted with the meaning of One:

What is the point of contact that lights up my life?
What beginning action must be taken to move me in a desired direction?
Where is the point of entry? That space I can enter into in order to clearly see and change my landscape?

Alternatively, the meaning of One is also an indicator of completion. Just as we see reference to the beginning (the Alpha) One also symbolizes the ending (the Omega). Even in the ending's One is changing the landscape of our lives, because as an ending approaches we must become aware of a new beginning on its heels.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly the number One reminds us to focus. It is only through concentration that we are able to accomplish anything. With singleness of mind, body and spirit there is no end to our potential. In this light, we can identify our objective and see clearly to our prime purpose (which, ideally, would be to ease into the knowledge of our highest, truest selves).
