Principalities
Friend or Foe, Angel or Demon?

The Third Hierarchy - those closest to humanity

Principalities - the seventh choir
The Archangels - the 8th choir
Angels - the ninth choir

Are the Principalities, the 7th choir of the 3rd celestial hierarchy, friend or foe? You decide.

http://www.wendag.com/images/angelology/antichristsmallversion.jpgIt seems like the further we go down the celestial hierarchy the less information there is! This choir of angels, according to Dionysius “watch over the leaders of people” and inspire them to make right decisions.

They are to watch over religion, cities and nations. They assist religions in spreading the truth and supervise the rise and fall of nations. I am beginning to think these angels are all asleep at the wheel or the so called “leaders” of the current nations are deaf!!

Maybe there is a reason that so much evil is creeping into our nation at this time even though there was a problem with these same angels centuries ago.

St. Paul hints at a darker view of this order when he says that Christ “disarmed them and the powers, triumphing over them” or as said directly from Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

They are also referred to in Ephesians 6:12 a little on the dark side: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So what do you think? Are they angels, demons, friends or foes? I would suppose that some of these angels do as they are supposed to and some are fallen angels which, in my opinion, at this time appear to be winning and it scares me to death!.

http://www.wendag.com/images/angelology/Apocalypse2.jpgThe rulers of this choir of angels are:

Requel – According to the The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses he is one of the ruling princes.

Anael (Haniel) means “glory or grace of God” or “he who sees God.” According to Barrett, The Magus he is the angel of the month of December, chief of the order and one of the fifth choir, the second hierarchy, the Virtues. He is also prominent in the occult.

Cerviel (Cervihel, Zeruel) is also one of the chiefs as shared with Anael and Nisroc and others. He is the preceptor angel of David. “And God Sent Cervihel, the Angel that is over strength, to help David slay Goliath,” this is referenced in The Biblical Antiquities of Philo

Nisroc means “the great eagle”. Originally an Assyrian deity, worshipped by Sennacherib according to .II Kings 19:36 -37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esairhaddqn his son reigned in his stead.

Apparently Nisroc became an angel in the order of principalities after his death!

Between the sixth and seventh choirs, the Principalities and Powers one does have to ask the question – are demons angels to?
