    Default Wysheid

    Die Republiek van Ďn 1000 jaar

    Wat Israel was sal my volk word,
    sy lendene met God omgord.....

    Ons is gewond, maar oor die wond
    vloei die gesalfde morestond;

    ons is gebuig, maar uit die smaad
    vlam die gevlerkte daeraad.

    Deernis-deurdrenk van weerloos ly,
    deur smart tot wordingswil kasty,

    puur uit ons pyn die roepingslig
    waar wolkkolomme nasies rig....

    Wat Israel was, sal my volk word,
    sy lendene met God omgord.

    In republiek wat ons verklaar
    anker Sy droom van duisend jaar;

    Hier word Sy raadsaal uitgebou
    waar ons die Suide suiwer hou....

    In lig wat tot bewussyn kom
    erf ons die rigterstaf van Hom,

    word voorwaens in die Groter Trek
    wat weer die Wysheid herontdek,

    die binnelande van die gees
    oopstel vir God-bewuste wees;

    oor die seisoene en gety
    die mens se vroeŽr mag verkry

    toe Adam in gestalte was
    en heel geloop het in die gras...

    In republiek wat ons verklaar
    anker Sy Droom van Duisend Jaar;

    hier word Sy Raadsaal uitgebou
    waar ons die Suide suiwer hou.

    Uit waters wat weer onrus word
    sal skoner see in aarde stort...

    Ligwoord sal tot ons midde kom
    wat trou en teken is van Hom;

    Rigwoord wat wit en waarheidrein
    die dou van Sy gedagte skyn:

    Woord wat Sy Droom tot wording baar
    in vrederyk van Duisend Jaar;

    terug na die seisoene tas
    voordat die sondvloed water was;

    die heelal weer tot heelheid grens
    binne bewussyn van die mens;

    Sy Beeld tot beeld in ons gesmee
    die vleuels van gestalte gee...

    Uit waters wat weer onrus word
    sal skoner see in aarde stort.

    In hierdie groter tyd van God
    sal Afrika weer Eden bot...

    Wanneer ons ligwaartse verlang
    gevleueld oor die aarde hang,

    die liefde in ons hoŽr staan
    as wat die haat se kringloop gaan,

    word uit die sondeswaar gety
    die nuwe wÍreldryk bevry;

    die periodieke paradys
    wat helder tot bewussyn rys,

    in eenheid tussen God en mens
    smart van die sondeval oorgrens;

    die Vrede wat op die aarde was
    opnuut herenig met die gras...

    In hierdie groter tyd van God
    sal Afrika weer Eden bot.

    GA Watermeyer dig hier aangaande die herontdekking van die Wysheid.

    Die Groter Trek is ons huidige geestelike trek. Hierdie Groter Trek lei tot die herontdekking van die Wysheid.

    Soos Watermeyer dan ook hier dig, was die Wysheid vroeŽr bekend. Ons spoor Haar in die Bybel op.

    Spreuke 8

    1 ROEP die Wysheid nie, en verhef die Verstandigheid nie haar stem nie?

    2 Op die top van die hoogtes langs die weg, op die kruispunt van die paaie staan sy,

    3 aan die kant van die poorte by die uitgang van die stad, by die ingang van die deure roep sy hardop:

    4 Ek roep na julle, manne, en my stem is tot die mensekinders.

    5 Leer tog skranderheid verstaan, eenvoudiges, en dwase, leer verstandigheid verstaan.

    6 Hoor, want ek sal voortreflike dinge spreek, en my lippe gaan oop vir wat reg is.

    7 Want my verhemelte spreek waarheid, en goddeloosheid is vir my lippe 'n gruwel.

    8 Al die woorde van my mond is reg, daarin is niks wat slinks of vals is nie,

    9 hulle is almal duidelik vir die verstandige en reg vir die wat kennis gevind het.

    10 Neem my tug aan, en nie silwer nie, en kennis liewer as uitgesoekte goud.

    11 Want wysheid is beter as korale, en al die kleinode kan daar nie mee vergelyk word nie.

    12 Ek, Wysheid, is vertroud met die skranderheid, en ek vind kennis van regte oorleg.

    13 Die vrees van die HERE is om te haat wat sleg is; hoogmoed en trotsheid en 'n slegte wandel en 'n huigelagtige mond haat ek.

    14 Raad en beleid is myne, ek is die insig, sterkte is myne.

    15 Deur my regeer die konings en stel die maghebbers vas wat reg is;

    16 deur my heers die vorste en die edeles, al die regters van die aarde.

    17 …k het lief die wat my liefhet, en die wat my soek, sal my vind.

    18 Rykdom en eer is by my, duursame goed en geregtigheid.

    19 My vrug is beter as goud en as fyn goud, en my opbrings as uitgesoekte silwer.

    20 Ek wandel op die weg van geregtigheid, in die middel van die paaie van reg,

    21 om die wat my liefhet, 'n besitting te laat erwe, en hulle skatkamers maak ek vol.

    DIE WYSHEID BESTAAN VAN EWIGHEID AF

    22 DIE HERE het my berei as eersteling van sy weg, voor sy werke, van ouds af.

    23 Van ewigheid af is ek geformeer, van die begin af, van die voortyd van die aarde af.

    24 Toe daar nog geen wÍreldvloede was nie, is ek gebore; toe fonteine, swaar van water, nog nie daar was nie;

    25 voordat die berge ingesink het, voor die heuwels is ek gebore;

    26 toe Hy die aarde en die velde en al die stoffies van die wÍreld nog nie gemaak het nie.

    27 Toe Hy die hemele berei het, was ek daar; toe Hy 'n kring afgetrek het op die oppervlakte van die wÍreldvloed;

    28 toe Hy die wolke daarbo bevestig het, toe die bronne van die wÍreldvloed sterk geword het;

    29 toe Hy vir die see sy grens gestel het, dat die waters sy bevel nie sou oortree nie; toe Hy die fondamente van die aarde vasgelÍ het--

    30 toe was ek 'n kunstenaar naas Hom, en ek was dag vir dag vol verlustiging en het gespeel voor sy aangesig altyd,

    31 en het gespeel op sy wÍreldrond, en my verlustiginge was met die mensekinders.

    32 Luister dan nou na my, seuns; want gelukkig is hulle wat my weŽ bewaar.

    33 Luister na tug en word wys, en verwerp dit nie.

    34 Gelukkig is die mens wat na my luister, om dag vir dag te waak aan my deure, by die syposte van my poorte die wag te hou.

    35 Want hy wat my vind, het die lewe gevind en verkry 'n welbehae van die HERE.

    36 Maar hy wat my mis, benadeel sy eie lewe; almal wat my haat, het die dood lief.

    Om die Wysheid te vind, is om God te vind.

    Ons is die voorwaens in die Groter Trek.

    Liefde groete.

    Die Wysheid, wat ons volgens Watermeyer herontdek, word in Spreuke 8 as eienaam hanteer.

    Hierdie Wysheid is ook deur die eerste Christene as eienaam geken.

    Wysheid, vertaal in grieks is Sophia (ΣoφŪα).

    Die vroe'e Christene het 'n kerk in Konstantinopel gebou wat in 360 Nc ingewy is.

    The first church on the site was built by the Eastern Roman Emperor Constantius, son of Emperor Constantine, who had liberated the Christian faith from centuries of persecution. Constantius' church was consecrated in 360 AD. At first it was known as the Great Church because it was the largest at the time. Later it became known as Holy Wisdom, a name attributed to Christ by theologians of the 4th century.
    Hierdie kerk is later deur plunderaars afgebreek en in die sesde eeu herbou deur Justinianus . Dit is die beroemde katedraal van die Hagia Sophia (of Heilige Wysheid).

    Hierdie Wysheid (Sophia) waarvan Salomo ons leer, moes geweldig belangrik vir die vroe'e Christene gewees het.

    Ek plaas 'n foto van die Katedraal van die Heilige Wysheid, sowel as 'n tapeserie van Jesus en Johannes die Doper daarbinne.

    Sophia (Wysheid van God) was intens aanwesig in die vroeŽ kerk, totdat Sy deur die paternalisme uitgeskryf is en met Maria, moeder van Jesus vervang is.

    Sophia, the personification of Wisdom, was one of the most powerful religious figures for significant groups in Judaism and early Christianity, and she figured prominently in the early church's debates on Christology and trinitarian theology.

    The Emperor Constantine dedicated the principal church in his new capital to Christ as the Holy Wisdom (Hagia Sophia) of God, and the Emperor Justinian rebuilt this "Great Church" as a model for all of Byzantine Christianity. Later generations dedicated cathedrals in Thessaloniki, Ochrid, Kiev, Novgorod and Polotsk (11th century) and Trebizond (13th century) to Sophia.

    The biblical roots of Sophia go back to the personification of Wisdom (chokmah in Hebrew, sophia in Greek) in the Book of Proverbs.

    Die relevantheid van die Wysheid, vir die vroeŽ Christene in die eerste eeue nC. word in die onderstaande argument verduidelik.

    So central was Sophia to early theological debates that the distinguished historian Jaroslav Pelikan has claimed that the great crisis in Christology and trinitarian theology in the fourth-century began with a dispute over the interpretation of Sophia in Proverbs 8:22-31. Both the Arians and their orthodox opponents assumed that the descriptions of Sophia in the Septuagint applied to the Son of God who was incarnate in Jesus Christ. Thus arguments over the divinity of the Son were inseparable from the interpretation of Sophia: if Sophia was not fully divine, then neither was Jesus Christ.

    Arius and his followers pointed out that God had "created" (ektise) Sophia at the beginning (Prov. 8:22), and they drew the conclusion that the Son was a creature who had a beginning in time. In response, Dionysius of Rome argued that "created" in this passage meant "begotten," not "made." Athanasius of Alexandria used the words of Dionysius of Rome to refute the Arians, showing that the Arian interpretations could not claim continuity with the earlier fathers (Defense of Dionysius 6 and 27). Athanasius argued that since the Son "is the offspring from the Father's substance,... he is the Wisdom (Sophia) and Word (Logos) of the Father, in whom and through whom he creates and makes all things" (Orations against the Arians 1.16). In rejecting Arius and affirming that the Son was fully divine and consubstantial with the Father, the early church accepted Sophia herself as truly God. Thus there is a clear precedent from the early church for affirming Sophia as an image and name of God.

    At least one fourth-century theologian was explicitly aware of the issue of gender and insisted on the necessity of using both male and female images together in naming God. Marius Victorinus, an early Western defender of Nicaea, understood Wisdom (sapientia in Latin) in the Bible as a name for all three persons of the Trinity. Victorinus also accepted both Logos and Sophia as names for the Son, and explicitly drew out the implication that the Logos is "both male and female" (Against Arius 1B, 56, 64). For Marius Victorinus, as for other orthodox contemporaries, Sophia is truly divine and thus can be addressed in prayer as a name for the triune God. Augustine, who was heavily influenced by Victorinus, interpreted Sophia in the Septuagint as the second person of the Trinity, and described her being sent by the Father to become incarnate (On the Trinity 4.5.27).

    Sophia was largely replaced by the Logos in later Western Christology, though she was never totally eclipsed. Some medieval Christians honored Sophia as divine, but most later Roman Catholic piety generally tended to redirect language about Sophia to Mary. In time, Sophia fell into general neglect as an image of God in the West.

    Die Hagia Sofia, bekend as die Moeder van alle Kerke, was vir 1 000 jaar die grootste Christelike kerk ter wÍreld. Na die oorname van Konstantinopel deur die Ottomaanse Turke, is die Moederkerk omskep in 'n Moskee. Later is die Moederkerk tot museum verklaar en behou sy steeds daardie status in die Moslem Turkye. Konstantinopel staan vandag bekend as Istanbul.

    Die Hagia Sophia in Thessaloniki (sien fotos) is 'n verlengstuk van die Moederkerk van eertydse Konstantinopel.

    The Hagia Sophia (Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία; Holy Wisdom) in Thessaloniki, Greece.

    Already in the 3th century, there was a church on the location of the current Hagia Sophia. In the 8th century, the present structure was erected, based on the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, the present-day Istanbul, Turkey. In 1205, when the Fourth Crusade captured the city, the Hagia Sophia was converted into the cathedral of Thessaloniki, which it remained after the city was returned to Byzantine Empire in 1246. After the capture of Thessaloniki by the Ottoman Sultan Murad II on 29 March 1430, the church was converted into a mosque.

    Ons volgende Moederkerk is die Hagia Sofia van Ochrid in MasedoniŽ.

    The Church of St. Sophia is located in the city of Ohrid in the south-west of the Republic of Macedonia. The church is one of the most important monuments of Macedonia, housing architecture and art from the Middle Ages.

    Originally the synod church of the Archbishopric of Ohrid, it was later converted into a mosque during the rule of the Ottoman Empire. The interior of the church has been preserved with frescoes from the 11th, 12th and 13th century, which represent some of the most significant achievements in Byzantine painting of the time. The main part of the church was built in the 11th century, while external additions were built by Archbishop Grigorie in the 14th century.
    Hieronder is 'n foto van die Masedoniese Moederkerk.

    Ons reis verder na Kiev in die huidige Ukraine.

    Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kiev (Ukrainian: Собор Святої Софії, Sobor Sviatoyi Sofiyi or Софійський собор, Sofiysíkyi sobor, Russian: Собор Святой Софии, Sobor Svyatoi Sofii or Софийский собор, Sofiyskiy sobor) is an outstanding architectural monument of Kievan Rus'. Today, it is one of the city's best known landmarks and the first Ukrainian patrimony to be inscribed on the World Heritage List.

    The cathedral's name comes from the Hagia Sophia cathedral in Constantinople.

    The first foundations were laid in 1037 but the cathedral took two decades to complete. The structure has 5 naves, 5 apses, and (quite surprisingly for Byzantine architecture) 13 cupolas.
    Die Moederkerk van Kiev het 13 koepels. Ek sal dit aanstons bespreek.

    After the Russian Revolution of 1917 and during the Soviet antireligious campaign of the 1920's, the government plan called for the cathedral's destruction and transformation of the grounds into a park "Heroes of Perekop" (after a Red Army victory in the Russian Civil War in Crimea). The cathedral was saved from destruction primarily with the effort of many scientists and historians. Nevertheless, in 1934, Soviet authorities confiscated the structure, including the surrounding seventeenthĖeighteenth century architectural complex and designated it as an architectural and historical museum.
    Hierdie keer was dit nie Islam wat die Moederkerk se deure gesluit het nie, maar wel die Kommunisme.

    Ons volgende stasie is Novgorod

    Novgorod Cathedral of St. Sophia

    The oldest and most imposing surviving monument in Novgorod is the Cathedral of St. Sophia (also known in the Orthodox tradition as "Divine Wisdom"), built between 1045 and 1050 and located in the detinets (citadel) on the west bank of the Volkhov River. The cathedral was commissioned by the prince of Novgorod, Vladimir Yaroslavich; by his father, Yaroslav the Wise (whose own Sophia Cathedral in Kiev was entering its final construction phase); and by Archbishop Luka of Novgorod.
    Die historiese stad, Novgorod lÍ tussen Moskou en St Petersburg. Novgorod is die stad waar die Russiese geskiedenis ontstaan het en die katedraal van Sofia word beskou as die oudste bestaande gebou in Rusland.

    Kremlin is the Russian word for fort. The Kremlin in Moscow is the most famous one, but other old cities such as Novgorod have their own Kremlins.

    Ons is steeds in Viking gebied.

    The Old East Slavic name, Polotesk, is derived from the Polota river, that flows into Dvina nearby. The Vikings rendered that name as Palteskja, or Paltejsborg.

    Polatsk is one of the most ancient cities of the Eastern Slavs. It was mentioned for the first time by the Primary Chronicle in 862 (as Полотескъ, /poloteskŭ/), together with Murom and Beloozero. The Norse sagas describe the city as the most heavily fortified in all of Rus.

    Vseslav of Polotsk (Vseslav Bryachislavich, Belarusian: Усяслаў Брачыславіч, Усяслаў Чарадзей; Russian: Всеслав Полоцкий; Ukrainian: Всеслав Полоцький; also known as Vseslav the Sorcerer, c. 1030-1101) was the most famous ruler of Polotsk. Saint Sophia Cathedral of that city (1066) is probably the most enduring monument in Belarus, which remained after his 57-years reign.

    He was the son of Briachislav Iziaslavich, Prince of Polotsk and Vitebsk, and was thus the great-grandson of Vladimir I of Kiev and Rogneda of Polotsk.

    The city's Cathedral of Saint Sophia in Polatsk (1044-1066) was a symbol of the independent-mindedness of Polatsk, rivaling churches of the same name in Novgorod and Kiev and referring to the original Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.

    Nou spring ons 'n reuse sprong, maar ons bly by hierdie interessante geboue, opgedra aan die Wysheid van God. Al die geboue het een ding in gemeen, nl. hul koepeldakke. Nie die kerktorings waaraan ons gewoond is nie.

    Die gebou hieronder val my op.
